Holiday Gift card to membership

Federation Secretary Jaime Cardenas has told me that the Federation membership should have their grocery gift cards by now. I want to thank the Federation Board but especially Jaime for the effort in getting these to our members. We did this last year and it was well received.
Our idea started from the idea of giving a gift like a ham or turkey to each member. That turned out to be impractical to distribute. So we came up with the grocery gift card. This also allows a member to make their own decision on what they would like.
We do this as an alternative to an older idea of a party. Nothing wrong with this party idea; but many do not attend something like that. Everyone receives the benefit of the gift card. We checked this year by an online vote if you would like the card idea to be continued. Your answer by vote was overwhelmingly in support of the card.
We also want to give something back to membership in thanks for your being part of the Federation. We hope you and your family are enjoying the Holidays ~ a tough time for cops in many ways. Thanks and take care.
